The Executive currently consists of five members in which are as displayed below
Robbie Cowbury - Chair
Sheffield University - 3rd Year Politics & International Relations
I got involved with the Liberal Democrats several years ago since they were the party that directly appealed to my poltical opinions. I found joining a party was not only a good way to get involved in politics, but an excellent opportunity to meet like-minded people and develop my own ideas. Since then i've campaigned in Sheffield and London for councillors, councils and MPs and (as yet) never lost, which may be why i still enjoy it!

Johnny Whiteley - Secretary
Sheffield University - 2nd Year Philosophy Undergraduate
I got interested in the Liberal Democrats because I'm a liberal, and have been for a while. Unfortunately, the area I come from has a virtually non-existent lib dem presence, so I wasn't really able to do anything with the party until I came to uni, where the LDYS offered an abundance of opportunities.

I've always been interested in poltics and took it as an A level subject. I then choose to further my interest in poltics by taking it as a degree at Sheffield.I first joined liberal democrats youth and students halfway through my second year and have enjoyed being involved ever since. I now hold the position of Social secretary and hope to organise some socials in the future to bring even more people into our friendly society.

James Alliott - Webmaster
Notre Dame High School – Final Year 6th Form – Studying Politics, Theology, I.C.T, Business & Further Maths
I first got interested in politics in Late 2005 and wished to get involved and so I looked at the parties and both what they have achieved in the past and what they stand for today. This led to me choosing Liberal Democrats. Since then I have held positions on the executive of Sheffield LDYS as Socials Co-ordinator and also as Youth Representative before entering the role as Webmaster. I have also stood for election for Rotherham Borough Council in 2008 for Dinnington Ward and came 3rd out of four with 502 votes with the winning candidate (Labour) getting 979 votes.
